Still a fun read.

  An almost poetic worded story of Frost, controlling the northern hemisphere after the last humans have died.
• "The Stainless Steel Leech"
  Well executed. Can learn from this.
• The Engine at Heartspring's Center"
  Strange story about a cyborg living near a euthanasy centre.
• "The Last Defender of Camelot"
  Amazing story about a thousand year old Lancelot.

Intriguing story. If it teaches anything, it is building up to the climax.

Small pocketbook and one clearly distinguishes the ideas of Amber leaking through... I wrote, before checking dates. First print is 1979, which places it right in the middle, between the Corwin Cycle and the Merlin Cycle.

Is it original? Less so, when you know Amber, but still a really good read, a quick pocketbook for on the beach.
